What are "DNS" or Name Servers, and how do I change them?
- Every web site needs a unique address on the Web. This unique address is
called the IP address; a series of four numbers ranging between 0 and 255,
separated by dots. For example, 255.255.0.0.1 - Because IP addresses are made
up of numbers and dots, they are hard for people to remember, so there is a
system of unique names called Domain names (i.e., www.quillspirit.net), which
are sort of an alias to point to the IP address where the website is stored on
the server, so users can pull it up on their own computer at home or in their
office. The DNS, or Domain Name Server settings are what link the Domain Name
to the IP address.
- The DNS settings you will need to point your domain name to
for Quillspirit.net to be able to host your site are: NS1.QUILLSPIRIT.NET
and NS2.QUILLSPIRIT.NET - You can usually do this by logging into your
domain registrar and changing the settings yourself, or by contacting
technical support at your registrar and asking them to do it for you.

design since 1999. We are always ready to answer any questions you may
have, and we pride ourselves on our prompt, friendly customer service,
and really try to go the extra mile for you.

What kind of guarantees do you have?
- We offer a 30 day money back
guarantee on our hosting services. If at any time you are not satisfied
with our service, within 30 days of signup, we will promptly refund your
payment. (Less any domain registration fees).
- Sorry, we do not refund for graphic design, because it would be too
easy to be taken advantage of... once you have received the graphic, you
could ask for a refund and use the image anyway. (It takes time to work
on them, so we must be paid for our time). If you really are not happy
with the image, we would be willing to work on it some more, to meet
your specifications.
- We offer a 99.95% server uptime guarantee. According to our server
provider, there has only been RARE occurrences of downtime for the
servers we use. If there is a long outage due to server problems, we
will pro-rate your billing for that cycle.
- We do not guarantee against data-loss. It is your responsibility to
maintain updated backups of your website and databases. For a small fee,
we will "burn" a backup onto CD-R and mail it to you, on request.

Can I have
POP3 email accounts on all my domains?

Yes, all accounts are POP3 ready, so you can use
Outlook, Outlook Express, or your favorite email client. To use,
simply setup your client account with mail.domain.ext

Do you host Adult
sites?

No. Pornographic content is in violation of our
acceptable use policy and our service agreement. There are legal and
ethical issues involved in hosting of sites containing pornographic
material. Any user of our services who is found to have pornographic
content on their site, or links to pornographic sites, will have
their account closed and deleted within 24 hours.
